Developmental Services - Shared Living Specialist

The Shared Living Specialist supports the recruitment, onboarding, documentation, and retention of Shared Living and Respite Providers. This position ensures accurate tracking and oversight of provider records, fosters strong communication and connection among providers, and collaborates with team members to ensure a well-functioning and compliant provider network. The role plays a key part in helping Shared Living Providers manage respite use and maintain sustainability throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provider Relationship Management
• Recruitment and Onboarding
• Contract and Documentation Oversight
• Training and Credentialing of Shared Living Providers
• Operational Systems and Reporting
• Respite Budget Education and Oversight
• Assist with other administrative functions as part of the Program Administrative team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business, operations management, or related field. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of Vermont’s Developmental Services system, including home-based models.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a human services setting preferred.
• Comfort using electronic recordkeeping systems and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build respectful, professional relationships across roles and settings.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week with a starting pay of $19.95/hr.
