Environmental Services Manager
Porter Medical Center is hiring an Environmental Services Manager to join their team!
About the Role:
Manage, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of Environmental Services, Linen, Laundry, and Janitorial Departments. Ensure the environment is sanitary, attractive, and safe while complying with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. Collaborate with department managers, clinical staff, and other personnel to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.

- Maintain accurate documentation for all operational activities.

- Build strong relationships with clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Communicate organizational changes effectively to staff.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA, CMS, and infection control standards.
- Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to safety standards.
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and implement them.
- Coordinate with infection control teams for compliance reviews.
- Ability to manage change and respond to evolving organizational needs.
- Adjust staffing plans during emergencies or high census periods.
- Implement new technologies to improve cleaning and laundry processes.
- Respond quickly to feedback and make operational adjustments.
- Conduct oneself in a manner that reflects positively on the organization and maintains confidentiality.
- Promote a culture of respect and confidentiality among staff.
- Ensure ethical decision-making in resource allocation.
- Represent the organization positively in community interactions.
- Promote and enforce safety practices for staff and patients.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols for hazardous materials handling.
- Provide regular safety training and drills for staff.
- Investigate and resolve safety incidents promptly.
High school graduate or GED
RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise Environmental Services and Laundry operations.
- Inspect facilities regularly and recommend repairs.
- Perform environmental surveillance and safety audits.
- Manage departmental budgets and cost containment.
- Develop and update policies, procedures, and cleaning schedules.
- Provide staff training and evaluate performance.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
