    The Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist to join our K-12 SLP Team beginning August 2025.

    Job Summary:
    Under the supervision of the Director of Student Support Services, the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess, diagnose, and implement intervention strategies to reduce, remediate, or eliminate speech and language impairments that may impact students’ ability to benefit from the district’s educational programs.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Clinical Services:

    • Plan and implement appropriate clinical programming for students with speech-language impairments or related disorders.
    • Conduct screenings in collaboration with other SLPs and school personnel.
    • Adhere to state, federal, and ASHA regulations regarding screening, referrals, development of individualized programs, and progress monitoring.
    • Maintain accurate and timely electronic records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations, utilizing the district’s IEP Management System, Medicaid logging, Excel, and other tools.
    Consultation & Collaboration:
    • Provide expertise on evidence-based interventions to staff working directly or indirectly with students.
    • Consult with general educators, families, and relevant team members to ensure comprehensive and effective programming.
    Communication & Family Engagement:
    • Build relationships with families to support their understanding of their child’s strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
    • Clearly communicate assessment results, intervention strategies, and progress updates both orally and in writing.
    Additional Responsibilities:
    • Provide supervision for Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLP-A) and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLPs as needed.
    • Participate in professional development, curriculum meetings, and ongoing training to maintain professional competence.
    • Support district and building-based initiatives by managing resources effectively.
    Qualifications:
    • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
    • Vermont issued professional educator license with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement.
    • Clinical licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Vermont.
    • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
    • Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding speech-language services in schools.
    • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

    The salary range is per to the MAEA Collective Bargaining Agreement
