    Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is seeking a full-time school psychologist beginning August 2025 to join our team as a member of our comprehensive system of support .

    The school psychologist will work on multiple levels of a comprehensive system. The qualified candidate will engage in early intervention and prevention initiatives to improve academic, social, and emotional needs of all learners. This includes consulting with adults (staff and families) and leading staff development to support using best practices to meet learner needs, improving the district's capacity to use data to monitor the overall effectiveness of the system of support, and monitoring individual student performance over time. The preferred candidate should possess the skills to address the social emotional well-being of students with challenging mental health needs including, but not limited to, coordination with community based providers. The position will include serving as a member of the district's Evaluation Team to conduct psycho-educational evaluations including eligibility for special education. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to work collaboratively with students, families, staff, systems coordinators, and district leaders.

    Working Conditions
    Public school serving students PK-12, position requires that the individual can work across all schools, and coordinating and managing a schedule across multiple schools and stakeholders. This is a full time school year position.

    Salary Range is according to the MAEA Collective Bargaining Agreement

    Job Requirements

    • Masters degree in School Psychology
    • Vermont Teaching License as School Psychologist
    • Knowledge of a wide variety of statewide programs and agencies service students with disabilities
    • Knowledge of all disability categories under IDEA, appropriate research, best practices, service delivery models, applicable state and federal laws and regulations related to special education
    • Possess the ability to communicate effectively and to facilitate group processes successfully
    • Competently schedule and coordinate meetings and other services across schools
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
    • Meets general education administrator competencies
    • At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
    • Master degree preferred.
