    The Mount Abraham Unified School District (MAUSD) is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Counselor to join our team at Beeman Elementary School for the remainder of the academic year.

    Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of PBIS. The candidate will also be knowledgeable in Responsive Classroom as well as in all aspects of school counseling, current knowledge of social-emotional curricula such as the Second Step program, behavior support strategies, individual/small group counseling, and conflict resolution with Restorative Practices.

    Working Conditions:

    • This is a .20 FTE school year position that will end June 2026.
    • The position may require occasional participation in school events activities outside of regular school hours.

    Salary Range: $313 - $547 per day depending on experience and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

    Job Requirements
    • Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
    • Vermont issued professional educator licensure as a School Counselor.
    • Previous experience working as a school counselor is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and students.
    • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the school community.
    • At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
    • Master degree preferred.
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
