    As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and enriching experience for campers while fostering a sense of community and identity. You will be responsible for supervising and engaging campers in a variety of activities, providing guidance, and ensuring their safety and well-being. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to a memorable summer camp experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and ensure the safety of a group of campers, creating a positive and inclusive environment.
    • Plan, help organize, and lead various camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts and nature exploration.
    • Provide emotional support and guidance to campers, helping them navigate challenges and build positive relationships.
    • Assist with camper health and well-being, including mealtime supervision, hygiene routines, and administering basic first aid when needed.
    • Work collaboratively with other camp staff to coordinate and execute camp-wide events.
    • Communicate regularly with camp leadership, reporting any concerns, incidents, or issues that arise.
    • Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and a commitment to the camp's values and principles.
    Qualifications:
    • Previous camp counseling or childcare experience is a plus.
    • Enthusiasm for working with children and creating a positive and inclusive camp environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • A positive attitude and a passion for creating memorable camp experiences.
    • The ability to be a self-starter.
    • Enthusiastically participate in recreational activities with campers: swimming, arts & crafts and sports, etc..
    Schedule:
    • Day Shift
    • Monday to Friday
    • 8:30-4:30pm
    • Full Time- Temporary (Summer)
    Pay:
    • Anticipated $5191.20 for the summer.
    • Paid Bi-Weekly
    Incentive:
    • If you work the entire duration of camp, you will receive a $200.00 bonus with the last payroll.
    • Are you returning from the previous year? Receive another $100.00 Bonus with the last payroll.
