    We are the shire town of Addison County and our beautiful village area is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Our website will connect you to the resources you need as a resident, business owner or visitor to access the full range of Middlebury municipal services.

    It contains both the high school and middle school, local hospital, the Addison County Court House, Middlebury College, many state offices and numerous businesses. It has both the Town Hall Theater and Marquis Theater and additionally has the largest local police and fire departments. There is are inns, motels, and a hotel. It is the cultural and business hub of the county.
