Accounting Manager

About The Role
The Accounting Manager is responsible for providing financial support to all divisions of Silver Maple to identify opportunities and risks through a detailed understanding and review of operational costs and cost drivers. The Accounting Manager will leverage finance tools and processes to drive clarity of results to inform Leadership and promote business acumen. Additionally, create a strong controls environment with a focus on accurately representing each department’s costs and highlighting opportunities for cost improvement.
Responsibilities*
You will advocate a continuous improvement attitude and drive optimized workflows and practices across our accounting processes, systems, and controls to ensure financial statement accuracy.
Preparation and monitoring of the divisional and overall company budgets.
Preparation of periodic financial reports, as well as creating reports as requested by management.
Maintain accounts payable vendor compliance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
Process payroll, prepare and file all payroll-related compliance reports.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Who You Are:
The right candidate should have a deep understanding of accounting principles and the ability to think strategically with a passion for building/construction industry and strong analytical skills.
Required Skills and Abilities- Strong understanding of accounting concepts with expertise in Cost Accounting
- ERP experience, Trimble Viewpoint Vista preferred
- Experience with construction industry preferred
- Familiarity with project management software, Procore preferred
- Established history of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Cost control and budgeting skills
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Teamwork and motivational skills
Work Environment
Office environment with exposure to computers and monitors
Schedule is in the office, Monday-Friday 8-5
Noise level in the work environment is usually average
Physical Demand
Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to listen to staff on the phone or in person and speak clearly to communicate information to colleagues
Required Education and Experience
B.A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance, or related discipline
