    We are seeking a Cheesemaker who brings equal parts skill, curiosity, and respect for traditional methods. This role is hands-on, seasonally attuned, and central to maintaining the character and quality of our cheeses. You’ll work closely with a small team, contribute to product development, and help steward the integrity of our milk from vat to cave. Part OR Full time available. Starts mid to late August. Commitment of one year minimum. We will train the right person!

    Innovation & Collaboration — Participate in developing new cheeses, refining existing recipes, and improving workflow efficiency.

    Teamwork & Communication — Work closely with the creamery team and communicate clearly about production needs and challenges.

    Occasional Customer Engagement — Support tours, tastings, or events to share the craft and story behind our cheeses.

    Qualifications:
    Experience in cheesemaking, dairy production, or fermentation (professional or serious hobbyist wanting to take up a level) is a plus but WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON.

    • Strong understanding of food safety, and artisan cheese styles.
    • Ability to lift 40+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in warm and humid environments.
    • Comfort with repetitive tasks, early mornings, and seasonal production rhythms.
    • Detail oriented, organized, and committed to craftsmanship.
    • Passion for small scale agriculture, local food systems, and artisanal production.

    What We Offer
    $20/hr starting pay, more based on experience, plus regular raises. PTO after one year, flexible schedule and time off. Part OR Full time (20 hours/week minimum, please) (**note: Full Time work will combine cheesemaking with Order Fulfillment Position, see separate job listing)
