Guided Mentoring Assistant Leader
Posted: 09/14/2025Mount Abraham Union Middle/High School is seeking a motivated and organized individual to oversee the implementation of the student mentoring program in partnership with DREAM’s Guided Mentoring initiative. This role supports meaningful mentoring relationships between high school students and elementary-aged youth through program coordination, planning, and community collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities:- Oversee and facilitate the student mentoring program on Tuesdays from 2:00–5:00 PM across Mount Abraham Union Middle/High School and Bristol Elementary School
- Participate in one hour of virtual planning and coordination meetings weekly
- Support and assist DREAM’s Guided Mentoring team in developing engaging and effective programming for high school mentors and elementary mentees
- Serve as a liaison between DREAM and Bristol’s Expanded Learning Program
- Help recruit and organize high school mentors, ensuring consistent meeting times and spaces for both mentor group meetings and mentor-mentee sessions
- Collaborate with DREAM staff to support implementation of the Mentor-in-Training curriculum and Village Mentoring activities
- Act as a point person for high school mentors by distributing materials and resources and assisting with enrollment and participation forms
- Plan and facilitate fun, play-based, and developmentally appropriate activities aligned with Guided Mentoring’s objectives
- Attend weekly in-school and afterschool sessions to support mentors and mentees
- Build strong, supportive relationships with high school mentor groups and individuals
- Foster a positive, inclusive mentoring community that connects youth across grade levels
- Strengthen partnerships with families and community organizations to support program goals
- Other duties as assigned by the program director.
