    Mt. Abraham Union Middle/High School is a 7–12 school serving approximately 550 students from four vibrant Addison County towns. We are committed to ensuring all students have access to high-quality, personalized, proficiency-based learning that supports both academic growth and the development of transferable skills such as critical thinking, executive functioning, and social-emotional learning. Our goal is to prepare every student for meaningful engagement in college, career, and community.

    We are seeking a science educator to join our collaborative and supportive science department teaching in our high school.

    Support students in developing foundational scientific thinking and inquiry skills
    Emphasize cross-cutting concepts and transferable skills
    Courses assigned based on student need and candidate expertise.
    Opportunity to teach a range of college- and career-ready science courses.

    What You’ll Do

    • Design and implement NGSS-aligned, proficiency-based instruction.
    • Engage students in inquiry-based science learning.
    • Use a variety of assessment strategies to support student growth and mastery.
    • Build strong, positive relationships with students.
    • Collaborate with colleagues through team planning and shared curriculum development
    • Support students’ development of transferable skills.

    Salary: $28,621 to $54,123 Per Year

    Job Requirements
    • Candidates must have, or be eligible for, a Vermont Educator License with Science Grades 7-12 endorsement.
    • At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
    • Bachelor degree preferred.
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
