• Administrative Assistant to the Asst. Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

    RNESU is accepting applications for an Admin Assistant to the Asst. Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. The admin assistant will support administration with management of data, regular reporting, and staff education on supported systems. This role manages all professional development processes and state and federal grants programs and provides administrative assistance to the Asst. Superintendent. The position will begin immediately and is year round.

    Responsibilities:

    Grant Management:

    • Manages all systems and processes related to federal grant programs, including the consolidated federal grant state application and individual grant programs. Responsibilities include overseeing applications, budgeting, requisitions, evaluations, amendments, time studies and certifications, and quarterly and final reporting, in close collaboration with the business office.
    • Enters and maintains grant information and budgets within required software systems, including creating initial grants and processing amendments.
    • Collaborates with the Agency of Education (AOE) on all aspects of grant management and compliance.
    • Works with the Assistant Superintendent of CIA on federal grant budget development, strategic planning, narrative preparation, and data entry.
    • Coordinates with the business office to integrate approved grant budgets and amendments into district financial systems.
    • Manages procurement processes for all grant-related purchases to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
    • Develops and executes Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and contracts connected to grant-funded initiatives.
    State Reporting:
    • Enter and update all required SLDS submissions to the State of Vermont on a scheduled basis
    • Resolve errors in data system
    Professional Development:
    • Manages all systems related to professional development courses and workshops for RNESU, including liaison work with higher education institutions and other districts, conducting needs assessments, and overseeing all aspects of marketing, course approval, registration, budgeting, accounting, transcripts, and finances to ensure successful program operation.
    • Coordinates logistics for district and external workshops, including needs assessment, scheduling, announcements, marketing, registration, and financial processing. Works under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of CIA to identify and promote external workshops of value to the district.
    • Oversees all RNESU district committee logistics, including scheduling, meeting notices and reminders, arrangements, resources, supplies, and related bookkeeping.
    • Manages the tuition, course, and workshop approval and payment systems, processing all professional and support staff requests, recording approvals, and ensuring alignment with RNESU guidelines, contractual agreements, and policies.
    • Processes and monitors professional leave requests, ensuring compliance with guidelines and contractual agreements. Flags requests that exhaust or exceed entitlements and alerts the Director of CIA as needed.
    • Provides support to all personnel regarding curriculum, staff development processes, and professional growth systems.
    District Inservice/CIA Support:
    • Assists all personnel with curriculum, instruction, and assessment needs, including the development and maintenance of SU-wide curriculum guides, assessment plans, and instructional strategies.
    • Manages information dissemination by copying, organizing, and distributing all necessary materials to relevant parties in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Supports district inservice and professional learning days, collaborating with the Assistant Superintendent, Director of CIA, the Professional Development Council, and the Administrative Council to provide differentiated, needs-based professional development strands and opportunities across RNESU. Responsibilities may include room and food reservations, materials preparation, agenda creation, scheduling, communications, and on-site logistical support
    Additional Job Responsibilities:
    • Use advanced Microsoft Excel to export, import, and present data from Powerschool and other school systems
    • Provide administrative support for SU assessments such as VTCAP, mClass and the Renaissance Platform
    • Work with system vendors as needed.
    • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with federal, state, and RNESU requirements and procedures
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Proficiency in the use of technology (including, but not limited to, PowerSchool, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite).
    • Experience in the use of Microsoft Excel to manipulate data and generate reports.
