About Us
John Graham Housing & Services provides food, shelter, housing, services and hope to homeless individuals and families from around Vermont. The Shelter has been operating for thirty-five years, since 1980. In recent times, we have expanded capacity with new locations and staff, and we have augmented our services to provide a more service-rich environment.
The Emergency Shelter has eight rooms for individuals and families and can house up to 25 residents at a time. We also offer transitional housing at four Shelter-owned buildings: East Street and the Elizabeth Ready House, Vergennes; Mountain Street, Bristol; and North Pleasant Street, Middlebury. All five of the Shelter’s facilities are in Addison County’s compact downtown areas, close to services, employment, and public transit. Shelter service coordinators and counselors visit regularly to help families work on their goals and search for permanent housing.Jobs
