Events Planner (004035)
Posted: 07/27/2025Plans for upcoming events, including Projects for Peace 20th anniversary. This is a part time position requiring 5-10 hours per week from August 2025 - June 2026.
This is considered a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position. The minimum starting rate for the position is $19.92 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:- Follow and refine any existing standard operating procedures for events planning for Projects for Peace, Center for Community Engagement, and Middlebury College.
- Develop themes and an initial workplan for celebrating Projects for Peace 20th anniversary with an event or series of events in 2027.
- Track task completion, registration, supplies, and website updates, as assigned.
- Create budgets, tracks expenses, and ensures cost effectiveness, as assigned.
- Coordinate with colleagues and student interns to ensure key tasks are complete.
- Represent Projects for Peace with partner stakeholders, other Middlebury offices, and vendors, ensure timely communication.
- Meet regularly with Projects for Peace Director

Requirements
Position Prerequisites:- Demonstrated skills: creativity, communication, time-management, problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Experience with Middlebury College events and Center for Community Engagement programs.
- Experience organizing, planning, and implementing events.
- Confident user of Google applications, including Numbers, Forms, and Sites.
Consistent with an office/desk job. Some carrying supplies (<10 lbs) and occasional walking between venue sites.
