LIBRARY MEDIA INFORMATION SPECIALIST (.50 FTE) - Anticipated

The Addison Northwest School District is seeking a Library Media Information Specialist .5 FTE at the Ferrisburgh Central School beginning in the 2025-26 school year.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the School Library and provides media, information, and information technology support services to school teachers, staff, students and parents.
• Promote literacy and the enjoyment of reading.
• Teaches research, reading, and information skills including digital literacy and 21st century skills.
• Collaboratively work with classroom teachers to design, implement and evaluate learning activities, units and projects that effectively use information resources and a wide variety of technology to transform student learning.
• Leads beyond the library and participates in setting the district vision and strategic plan for digital learning and fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation to empower teachers and learners.

License: Vermont Professional Educator’s License with School Librarian (61)
