In this webinar, you will learn about an approach to rebuilding a business by bringing employees in as co-owners. By giving everyone a stake in the outcome, both the fruits and the burden of carrying the business can be shared, in and beyond the recovery period. By transitioning an established company to this model, the present owner can receive a fair sale price, can continue working in the company if they wish, and can share in future earnings.
We will focus on:- Introducing employee ownership through a cooperative structure
- Cover the steps in converting an established business into a co-op
- Discuss the financing tools that are available.
About Our Speaker:
Matt Cropp is Co-Executive Director of the Vermont Employee Ownership Center, where he has worked since 2014. In that time, he's worked on numerous sales to the employees, and has a passionate interest in work that strengthens the supportive capital ecosystem for employee-owned businesses. Matt lives in Burlington.
