SASH Embedded Mental Health Clinician
Posted: 05/04/2025This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the growing Embedded Mental Health Program with one of our community partners, SASH (Support and Services at Home). The SASH Clinician will provide embedded (on-site) co-occurring support to adults living in a SASH affordable housing site in Vergennes, VT and work collaboratively with the on-site SASH Team, which includes the SASH Coordinator and an RN, while also receiving support and clinical supervision from CSAC. This is a 20-hour/week position based in Vergennes, and meetings at CSAC are in Middlebury. The position is grant-funded through September, 2026 with the hope that it will become permanently funded.
Responsibilities include:
Direct Services:- Provide therapeutic support in-person, by phone and through telehealth including individual, couples and family therapy, and other psychosocial support, both in residents’ homes and in the SASH office.
- Conduct assessment, screening, and triage services to help identify unaddressed needs and to assist individuals in connecting to clinical and other community resources
- Carry out group-based programs on topics relating to mental health, substance use, aging, and other emotional needs
- Attend regular consulting meetings with SASH staff, monthly SASH team meetings, and outreach to primary care, psychiatric, and other community partners and service providers.
- Provide training and consultation to SASH Coordinators and Nurses addressing challenges confronted by SASH participants with mental illness, substance misuse and other social, behavioral, or emotional concerns
- SASH clinician will attend weekly staff meetings at the SASH site and at CSAC.
- SASH clinician will receive a minimum of one hour of supervision a week with a licensed clinician at CSAC, and will have access to 1-2 hours of group supervision each week, also at CSAC.
- SASH clinician will have access to statewide group supervision with other SASH clinicians monthly.
Starting at $27.67/hour for licensed clinician and $26.10/hour if rostered.

Requirements
Qualifications- Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or closely related field
- Licensed OR on the roster of Non-licensed Non-certified Psychotherapists
- Valid Driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle
- Clean background
