• Maritime Museum and Basin Harbor Co-Host Chamber Mixer

Middlebury, Vermont – The Addison County Chamber of Commerce held it’s June mixer on the grounds of the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, co-hosted by Basin Harbor Resort.

The weather was a bit wet but that didn’t dampen spirits as members and their guests enjoyed the beautiful museum campus, set among the various buildings which house a wide array of boats and historical artifacts connected with the rich history of Lake Champlain.

Along with the usual networking and camaraderie of the monthly Chamber mixers, Rob Carter, President of the Addison County Chamber, had the pleasure of introducing members to the new Executive Director at LCMM, Susan Evans McClure, and the new General Manager of Basin Harbor, Jamie Fox.

Over 50 people attended the mixer, enjoying a wide array of tasty foods and beverages provided by the hosts, and having several chances to win family passes to LCMM for the summer, plus other items from their gift shop. As always, the Chamber also drew the name of a member business to win the now famous Pot of Gold.

During the Chamber program, new members were introduced, including Corey and Brandy James of Adirondack Drone, Bob DeGraff of BJ’s Farm Supply and returning member Basin Harbor. Upcoming Chamber events were announced and members had the opportunity to announce their own events and happenings in the various towns throughout the county. One exciting annoucement was the launch of Emerging Leaders of Addison County (ELAC), through the partnership of United Way of Addison County and the Addison County Chamber.
