  • Michael Dooley, Northlands Job Corps Center

  • Northlands Job Corps Center welcomed Michael Dooley as their new Center Director in the summer of 2019. Mike Dooley comes to Vergennes with over 16 years of Job Corps and educational experience. Before Job Corps, Mike worked in the New Jersey public school system and also worked with developmentally disabled adults and children in both New York and Los Angeles. He began his Job Corps career at Delaware Valley Job Corps in Calicoon, New York, where he served as the Student Human Resource Manager, Counseling Manager, and Career Technical Training Manager.

For the past twelve years, Mike has been part of the Leadership Team at the Oneonta Job Corps Academy. He served first as the Residential Manager before being promoted to the position of Life Skills Director. While at the Oneonta Job Corps Academy Mike assisted ETR as a corporate resource for other centers including Northlands. During his visits to Northlands, Mike enjoyed not only the students and staff but the local community as well. The lasting impressions of both the Center and community motivated Mike to step up to the challenge of Center Director. As the new Director, Mike is eager to bring his knowledge and experience to the Northlands Center and the greater Vergennes community.
