Join us for our next non-profit seminar on fundraising and financial stability. Participants will learn how to find new donors, retain the ones you already have, keep your donors engaged all year long, and bring lapsed donors back into the fold. Everyone will leave with the tools to begin building a goal-driven fundraising plan for their own organization.
Presenters:
Sarah Audet - Sarah is a nonprofit consultant and part-time Events & Tourism Manager for the Addison County Chamber of Commerce. She is the former Executive Director of Dinners with Love. Sarah specializes in communications, board development, and strategic planning. She is a graduate of Middlebury College and earned her Master of Education at Northeastern University.
Hannah Manley - Hannah has been working in the field of fundraising and community relations for the past 17 years. She is currently the director of development for Homeward Bound, Addison County’s Humane Society. Prior to joining the shelter in 2014, she served as the director of alumni relations and development at Lyndon State College for eight years and the fundraising events manager for Special Olympics Vermont before that. Hannah believes that fundraising is, first and foremost, about building relationships and that it can indeed be fun when the mission is something you truly love.
Amy Mason - Amy has been Board Chair at WomenSafe since 2016, where her team is wrapping up a $1.2M capital campaign. She’s also co-founder of Parents Supporting Thoughtful Technology (PSTT) and a past board member of Mary Johnson Children’s Center. She’s served in various roles within the nonprofit sector throughout her professional life, holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Marlboro College, and is a 2019 graduate of the Vermont Leadership Institute. Since all of her current work is unpaid and her three kids keep asking for her job title, Amy recently acquired business cards with the self-chosen designation of “Changemaker.”
Helena Van Voorst - Helena is the Executive Director of United Way of Addison County. Over her 18 year career in the nonprofit sector, Helena Van has managed all aspects of fundraising (including capital campaigns, annual appeals, membership drives, corporate sponsorships, major gifts, and grant writing) for many different types of nonprofits including a hospital, private school, museum, and community coalition. Helena earned her B.A. in Communication & Public Relations from Dordt College and her M.A. in Communication & Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University.
