About the bands: Following the May release of their new CD, Lowell Thompson & Crown Pilot (Bill Mullins, lead guitar; Kirk Flanagan, bass; Steve Hadeka, drums) are toasting up the Burlington music scene. Don't miss this great opportunity to take a break from crowded city bars and packed festival venues to enjoy an evening in the beautiful Vermont countryside with a Champlain Valley rising star and his utterly stellar band! The special musical lineup for July 10 guarantees one fun evening! In addition to his own songwriting, Ryan Ober flat out plays incredibly charming old favorites in his repertoire and he has a flare that is unmatched in the country vein! While playing his guitar and singing in dulcet tones, Ober keeps his foot occupied with a bass drum that gives his musical package a really unique sound. Barbacoa has an unsurpassed legendary presence on the Burlington music scene. The haut froth of surf noir, Barbacoa throws down the music and extraordinary guitar playing of Bill Mullins (also the lead guitar player in Crown Pilot!!) accompanied by none other than Crown Pilot's lead man Lowell Thompson on rhythm guitar. A wicked bright spot in this line up is Handsome Mark Ransom, the group's original bass player and most divine charmer. (Mark is also the man behind Burlington's beautiful Magnolias!) On drums is the suave Jeremy Fredericks who changes it up to the edge with his powerful beat! This band is known to be one of the BEST long lived bands in the area. Dance your heart right out on this one! The Old Lantern is a classic country event hall boasting Vermont's largest hardwood dance floor. This is a great place for family fun or a really romantic date! Only 20 minutes from Burlington with plenty of on-site parking. There is no losing with this show. See you there.
