Celebrate the holidays at the Sheldon Museum's annual community Open House. The historic 1829 Judd-Harris house is decked in childhood memories of stars, snowflakes, gingerbread men and candy canes. View the exhibit, "Addison County Kids: A Community Photo Album", a selection of photos, past and present, of children in Addison County. The fantastic electric train display gets larger and more elaborate every year. Holiday Open House will include music played on the Sheldon's 1831 Chickering piano, a craft project, Christmas cookies and a very special holiday raffle. Visitors to the Museum may purchase raffle tickets for a Polar Express O Gage train set donated by Lionel, a handmade train-themed quilt wall hanging, a Tower of Treasures gift set donated by Lake Champlain Chocolates, 2 tickets to Town Hall Theater's 2009 New Year's Eve Party and a gift certificate to the Sheldon's Museum Shop. Raffle tickets may be purchased through December 22 when the winners will be drawn.
