Friday July 17 “Veillée”
Vergennes Opera House
6 pm - 9 pm
Traditional French Canadian supper served from 6 to 7 pm and music & dancing from 7 to 9 pm. Musical group yet TBA but promises a lively evening of dance with instruction and song!Admission: $20.00 per person, $35 per couple

Don’t miss this free educational, cultural, fun-filled family day in Vergennes City Park & Otter Creek Basin! (Free shuttle between 2 venues) Franco-American music, French Canadian fiddling, learn French response songs, step-dancing, clogging, re-enactors, French food, antique vehicles & engines, traditional craft demonstrations, fencing demonstrations, exhibits, hands-on fun such as churning ice cream, pumping water, pump log boring, old time games, horse & carriage rides, children’s educational activities, farmer’s market, Bastille Day Waiter’s Race (802-877-9991), narrated English and French historical walking tour, boat cruises on Otter Creek (802-897-5331) (www.carilloncruises.com), the French Canadian Genealogical Society will help you trace your roots and there will be a French mass at St. Peter’s Catholic Church.Performances & workshops in the Opera House on Saturday TBA
