SUMMARY:Event Management: Protecting Your Attendees and You
DESCRIPTION:Living and working in Vermont we sometimes think we are insulated from situations that can cause injuries and impact our organization's event liability. Extreme weather\, acts of violence\, medical emergencies\, accidents and missing children are all part of event management. Organizations that ignore preparing for them do so at their peril. \n\n\n\nIn this seminar we will review EAP's (Emergency Action Plans) and show how to mitigate and prepare for keeping your attendees and staff safe at your event. Additionally\, we will cover liability insurance. No matter how prepared you may be\, it is crucial that you have adequate liability coverage.\n\n\n\nThis seminar will be helpful to organizations who manage any size event including festivals\, farmers markets and fundraisers.\n\n \nOUR SPEAKER\n\nPhil Summers\n\nAddison County Chamber of Commerce\n\nPhil is the Executive Director of the Chamber but prior to that he held senior marketing positions at the National Football League\, Sirius Satellite Radio and MSG Varsity where he was a two-time Emmy Award winner 2011 & 2012 and two-time Silver Addy Award winner 2013. Phil has also taught undergraduate courses in advertising and marketing at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nBen Fuller\n\nThe Richards Group\n\nBen joined The Richards Group as a Commercial Risk Management Consultant when Holden Insurance was acquired in 2017. An insurance advisor since 2012\, Ben is responsible for the development and management of commercial accounts in our Middlebury and Rutland offices. Ben holds licenses in Property & Casualty and Life in VT\, NH\, and NY and the designations of Certified Insurance Counselor and Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis members-only webinar series is co-sponsored by the Addison County Chamber of Commerce and Addison County Economic Development Corporation. Seminars are open exclusively to members of the Chamber and the ACEDC. Guests of members will be considered based upon availability and individual non-member guests may only attend (1) one webinar per calendar year.
