New annual event will benefit homeowners, retailers and eateries

Vergennes, Vermont – March 16, 2015 – The city of Vergennes will be host to the Little City Yard Sale on Saturday, June 20th. Residents of Vergennes can sell their unwanted and unused, antiques, memorabilia, clothing, furniture, electronics, children’s items, etc. at their own homes or at the city’s downtown park.

Organized by the Addison County Chamber of Commerce and modeled after annual town wide yard sales in Brandon, Vt. and Warrensburg, N.Y., the Chamber will promote the event regionally to bring shoppers to the city.

On the day of the event the Chamber will publish an official yard sale map showing locations of all participants and every homeowner will be provided with an official sign to place on their lawn. There are three ways to be included in the sale:

  • For $15 homeowners can list their name and location
  • For $25 homeowners can include a 25-word description along with their name and location
  • Or, if homeowners would rather not have shoppers at their home or sellers who live outside of Vergennes want to participate, they can rent a 10x10 space on the city green. This option also includes the 25-word description.

For more information or to register for the Little City Yard Sale, visit the website at www.addisoncounty.com/yardsale or contact Maria Benoit at the Addison County Chamber of Commerce at 388-7951 x101.
