Save the Date for 2009 Addison County Green Energy ExpoBy Sue Hoxie
Middlebury, Vermont – December 16, 2008 – The Green Energy Expo Steering Committee announces that the 2009 Addison County Green Energy Expo will be held on Saturday, March 21st. Because of the success of Addison County's first Green Energy Expo held last March at Middlebury College, the 2009 event will move to larger facilities at the Middlebury Union High School gymnasium to accommodate more workshops, attendees and exhibitors.
Planning for next year’s event has just begun, but the organizers expect to offer numerous workshops on topics such as reducing energy costs, renewable energy, how to build “green” affordably, and more. A full schedule of workshop topics will be published in February. Like last year, the Expo will also feature exhibits, demonstrations, products and services offered by local business that focus on efficiency, green building and renewable energy.
The Green Energy Expo Steering Committee is made up of representatives from the Addison County Economic Development Corporation, Addison County Chamber of Commerce, Addison County Regional Planning Commission (ACRPC), Addison County Transit Resources (ACTR), Middlebury College, National Bank of Middlebury, Middlebury Area Global Warming Action Coalition (MAGWAC), and Addison County Relocalization Network (ACoRN).
