About the Chamber

The Addison County Chamber of Commerce represents and works with businesses to promote business in our area. It is made up of three divisions: Middlebury Chamber of Commerce, Five Town Business Council (Bristol and surrounding towns), and Vergennes Area Chamber of Commerce. The primary reason to be involved with us is to become a part of an effective network. Your business will benefit because of the contacts you make and the exposure your business receives. We exist to do the things you can’t do as well on your own. We keep you up to date on critical information and give you a voice on issues and business regulation. We also market the area as a great place to work‚ live and to visit.

Chamber membership helps give your business credibility. A recent study commissioned by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives found that:

  • When consumers know that a small business is a member of the chamber of commerce‚ they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it and 63% more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future.

Additional benefit is received through active participation. We have committees which help plan and implement just about everything we do including membership‚ marketing and events. Attending membership meetings and mixers is another way to get involved. Taking advantage of our forums and using us as an information resource for business education and training are beneficial as well. We are in the business of helping your business succeed.

What Members Say

We reached 1600 visitors on our website last week alone. That’s HUGE for us!! We were climbing every day, but when I got the stat report for the total week, I was pleasantly shocked! We get so many of our hits off of the ACCOC website — Diane Jackson, Rivers Edge Cottages & Campground
