• Town of Middlebury

    Almost from the year of its founding in 1761, Middlebury has been a town of significance in the state of Vermont—a leader in innovation, manufacturing, agriculture, and education. Today is no different. Middlebury is the home of the first community-founded college in the United States, Middlebury College, the first institution of higher learning for women, and the first chartered village museum, the Henry Sheldon Museum.     Population (2020 Census): 9,152
    Public Schools: Students attend Mary Hogan Elementary, Middlebury Union Middle School and Middlebury Union High School.  Part of the Addison Central School District.  Middlebury is also home to the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center which serves high school students from around Addison County.
